who are we

Sydney University Basketball Club is a student-run organization that actively promotes the involvement of students in any-and-all basketball related activities in and around campus. We at SUBC want nothing more than to share our love for the game of basketball with all of you, and hope you come to love basketball as much as we do!

what we offer

Scrimmages

By joining as a member, you open yourself up to Free access to weekly scrimmages! Scrimmages run 3x per week during the times/days listed below. Make sure to bring your SUSF membership card/Student ID and scan in at reception!

• Tuesday 5:00pm - 6:00pm at Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre

• Wednesday 5:00pm - 6:00pm at Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre

• Friday 3:00pm - 5:00pm at Sydney Uni Sports and Aquatic Centre

Note: Times are subject to change so ensure to check the schedule and/or the Instagram frequently for updates

If you are not a member, you will be required to pay $10 each time you come to a club-scrimmage session.

Lunchtime social sport

Each semester from Week 3 to Week 12, we host more competitive and formal games that club members have the chance to take part in. These games run every Friday between 12:00 - 1:30 pm and allow you the opportunity to use your developed skill and craftsmanship (hopefully) from scrimmages and apply them to more real-life scenarios. Members get the team registration cost ($320 per team) completely covered by us! We offer both mixed and men’s competitive competitions so pick your poison!

LUNCHTIME SOCAL SPORT

Nationals

You will have the chance to match up against NBL1 players from all over Australia and even maybe some recruits from overseas!

Nationals are held 26th September - 3rd October 2026 in Perth.

unisport 3x3 Basketball

UniSport 3x3 offered to select club members a chance to represent Sydney University on the National stage and compete against other universities all around Australia. 3x3 is some if not the most competitive competitions that are offered at the University level.

• 3x3 is held 6th - 8th May at the University of Canberra.
